ClearContext's AutoAssign is a simple way to create rules to assign ClearContext Priority and Topics to messages. For power users who would like more flexibility in rules creation, we have provided integration of this functionality into the Outlook rules interface.

System Requirements
Outlook 2003 or 2007
Windows XP or Vista
ClearContext IMS v3.1.0 or better

This module will allow the creation of Outlook rules that trigger ClearContext actions, such as the assignment of IMS Topics or Priorities.

Once installation is complete, a new custom action will be available when creating an Outlook rule. Follow the steps below to create a rule using this feature:

1. Start a new rule.
Go to Tools > Rules and Alerts, select New Rule, and start a blank rule to check messages when they arrive.

2. Select the conditions you want to check on incoming messages.
Use this part of the wizard in the same way that you would create a normal Outlook rule, then press Next to go to the next screen.

3. Add a custom action.
Under Step 1, check perform a custom action. On this same window, under Step 2, click the underlined custom action to open the custom action dialog. Select ClearContext from the drop down and press Change.

4. Add ClearContext actions to the rule.
Select a Topic and/or Priority to assign and click OK. Your rule is now complete - exit the rules wizard.
