Manage Message Processing: Automatically File Messages as You Act On Them

As you process your Inbox - replying to messages or creating tasks and appointments from messages via the ClearContext action buttons - ClearContext v4 can automatically file or delete the original message, moving it out of your Inbox and saving you the need to deal with it again.

Automatically file messages as you process them

Original Message presents three options:

File To Topic - When replying to an email, creating a task from a message, or generating an appointment, select File To Topic from the Orig Msg drop down on the ClearContext Toolbar to automatically file the original message into its associated Topic Folder.

Delete - Much like File To Topic, select Delete from the Orig Msg drop down to automatically delete the original message used when creating the current reply, task, or appointment.

No Action - Do not move or delete the original message used to spawn this item.

When issuing an Original Message command for each item (Reply, Task, and Schedule) ClearContext remembers the action you last took and defaults to it the next time you process a message. The last action is remembered for two different states - items that initially have topics assigned to them and items that do not.

IMS Pro Message Processing Options

The first time you issue a Delete or File To Topic command, ClearContext will display a warning of the action you just took. To turn off this pop-up, click "Don't remind me again" in the Send Message Control Panel. You can turn this message back on via the ClearContext Misc preferences menu (ClearContext > Options > Preferences > Misc).
